The United Game Tech Group is managed by a competent management team consisting of Adrian Said as CEO and Michael Mercieca as CFO. The team has extensive experience from senior positions in internationally active companies in the fields of technology, sales and finance. In addition, all decisive persons involved have extensive experience in setting up and managing companies from previous self-employment. Together with their team of young and talented employees, they will lead the United Game Tech Group into a successful future.
Adrian Saïd has over 16 year’s leadership experience in direct investment, M&A and boutique consultancy. Since June 2015 he has been active in advisory in the EMENA region – with a network of entrepreneurs, investors and specialist funds to originate and close investments together with a track record in advising corporates and finance institutions on business development, acquisitions, divestments and financing.
He was a partner of the EMCS Group and Managing Director of its Consulting division between 2000 and 2014. The Group operates in business and financial advisory in Malta, the UK and the Middle East. He holds a Bachlors degree in Economics from the University of Malta, and pursued postgraduate studies in Management and Finance at the University of Strathclyde and London Business School. Since 2004 he has been undertaking research on National Competitiveness Strategies and is responsible for managing the World Economic Forum’s Partner Institute for the Global Competitiveness Report.
Michael Mercieca is a Certified Public Accountant and also successfully read for both the Diploma in Taxation offered by The Malta Institute of Taxation and the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) offered by the Malta Institute of Management. Michael worked within different sections of Deloitte Malta’s tax department including the corporate tax, compliance and immigration teams. From 2014 to 2017 Michael headed up the ‘personal tax and employer services’ team at Deloitte Malta.
Michael is a tax lecturer for various service providers in Malta, an ACCA tax lecturer and is a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta. Michael also sits on the Direct Tax Committee of the Malta Institute of Taxation and on the Taxation Committee of the Malta Institute of Accountants.
